New methods to image inflammation and the immune response
At the end of May 2026, our team organized the INSERM Workshop #288 entitled “New methods to image inflammation and the immune response.” The theoretical phase of the workshop, held in Bordeaux, France, brought together an outstanding panel of invited speakers from diverse backgrounds. Over three days, they engaged with participants to discuss emerging approaches for imaging inflammation and immune responses.
One of the key take-home messages was clear: progress in this field will depend on maintaining a strongly multidisciplinary and multimodal approach, integrating complementary technologies such as MRI, PET, MPI, X-ray imaging, ultrasound, and many others.
Moving to the practical phase

Following the successful completion of the theoretical phase, we are now moving on to the practical training. Eight selected participants will join our laboratory to gain hands-on experience in immuno-MRI and immuno-MPI, from experimental design to full implementation.
